Team Drivers Take 1st 2nd 3rd 4th @ EMORC Round 2 |

The
17th July saw the second round of the club championships @ EMORC
in Essex. Mirage B Team were ready for a good days racing.
EMORC is a new RC track in the South of Essex with a 60
meter straightway a 4 meter cross over & several fast
corners on an Astro surface
that produces some very fast lap times as grip was a plenty.
This quality of track has also given the BRCA another track
to race on as a National Date has been confirmed
(should be something to see the top 120 National drivers at EMORC). |

The
Lightning Stadiums are well suited to this type of track
& with the stock HB tires grip is no issue. 1 Full heat
of Outlaw runners in it's debut season turned up to claim
the points for the second round.
5 Rounds in total gave all drivers time to set a good FTQ
for the finals,
Round 1, Joe & Karl racked up 8 & 7 laps in 5 mins.
Round 2, Joe & Phil clocked better times with 8 & 7
laps in 5mins 16secs.
Round 3, Spencer Tomlin a club contender raced up a good win
with 6 laps in 4mins 21secs.
Round 4, Joe clocked another another 8 lapper in a good time
of 5mins 20 secs.
Round 5, Tony (after working @ Heaths RC all morning) &
Phil both raced up 7 laps in 5mins 9secs.Nothing like

The
Final.
Some confusion at the start sets 4 cars off the line before
they were supposed to, but the race went on. Spencer took
the first corner
with Joe hot on his heels. Joe took the lead on the back
straight to set the fastest lap of the day 34.94 (on par
with National 1/8
Rallycross drivers).
Tony, Karl & Phil were down the field racing hard for
positions, lap 1 Tony's front shock failed but still battles
through the field for 17 laps to take a very well deserved
3rd overall. Karl D put in a solid drive with some
impressive lap times to take 2nd overall. Phil C had a good
race with Karl & Tony and brings up the 4th place
overall.
